Peoples Climate March Rally at Washington Monument Grounds to Feature Community Speakers and Musical Acts

Post March Activities Include Music, Art Installations and Participatory Art Spaces for March Participants to Share Stories

Washington, DC — “We Rise,” the event to be held at the close of the Peoples Climate March, will take place from 3:00 to 5:00 PM EDT on Saturday, April 29th on the Washington Monument grounds. The event will feature a plethora of art, from multiple large-scale installations to “Circles of Resistance,” participatory art spaces meant to connect and share the stories of frontline communities being painted and brought in from communities all over the country. There will also be a “sign of signs,” in which marchers will lay their signs down to form a collective message, musical performances and speakers from Standing Rock to the Gulf.
