Washington, DC — The Peoples Climate March announced its Week of Action beginning this Saturday. The Peoples Climate March for Climate, Jobs and Justice will be on April 29th, the 100th day of the Trump administration. The week’s theme is “From Truth to Justice,” and kicks off with the March for Science, a powerful declaration of the value of truth, and ends with the Beyond the Moment National Day of Action, an historic effort in the battle for equal justice for immigrants and people of color.
“At the end of the first 100 days of the Trump administration, our movement is getting stronger by the day,” said Paul Getsos, National Coordinator at the Peoples Climate Movement. “Over the next ten days hundreds of thousands of people will be in the streets around the country and the world. Our actions will start by lifting up the importance of fact based scientific inquiry and practice and then build towards massive shows of power in the streets linking issues which matter to almost every American, action on climate change, ensuring our economy works for everyone and not just the 1 percent. Its justice for everyone who lives in our country – no matter who you are or where you came from.”
